The core of the Sports Product Management program is the integrative project that takes form across all 18 months. This project has challenged myself and my team to bring a product to market that solves for an underserved issue in the sports or outdoors space.
Beginning with consumer, market, and trend research, we identified an opportunity in run commuting. The gap between what product attributes consumers needed and what is currently offered in the market gave our team the validation to begin designing and developing the CMTR 1.0 - a performance pack that allows commuters to feel like storage is an extension of their body.
While each of us are heavily involved in every part of the product creation process, my role has focused in on the branding, marketing, global expansion, and overall strategy of Intencity moving forward. We have designed, developed, and wear tested a pack that truly revolutionizes the future of run commuting. Creating a successful marketing plan and global expansion strategy is necessary to build brand awareness and capture market share.

Material Supplier Collaboration
In January 2020, our product team traveled to Munich to attend the annual ISPO trade show. It was here where we met the team at Hyosung Textiles, a worldwide leader in materials based in Seoul, South Korea. Our collaboration with Hyosung allowed us to use their latest MIPAN robic ripstop fabric for our technical running pack, while they were able to measure the material on a running product.
This collaboration with Hyosung has been featured on SPM & Hyosung's social media/blogs as well as featured on news publications like SGB Media and Sourcing Journal.
